A Prestigious Historical Hospital in Asia (History of Bahawal Victoria Hospital)
In 1876, Bahawal Victoria Hospital was opened as a Civil Hospital, complete with a maternity ward, a clinic, and an operating theatre in Bahawalpur State. Bahawal Victoria Hospital first opened its doors to patients in 1906. Nowadays, many people come to be treated there, making the hospital a center of clinical knowledge in many fields of medicine. With the hope of more quickly and efficiently providing essential health services, the Nursing School was generously expanded in 1952. Also beginning in 1956 were programs leading to the L.S.M.F. The hospital’s 1970 merger with Quaid e Azam Medical College (Q.A.M.C.) has made it a major tertiary care center in Punjab.
The hospital has expanded to a 1600-bed tertiary care facility with all medical and surgical specialties to accommodate the region’s high patient volume. Quaid-e-Azam University’s undergraduate medical students, allied nursing students, paramedics, and many post-graduate trainees benefit from the hospital’s presence. Bahawalpur is home to numerous medical facilities, including hospitals and clinics.
However, Bahawal Victoria Hospital is a significant player in this field. Providing medical services in various settings plays an essential role in the health care system. As a result, patients come to this hospital from around Districts Bahawal Nagar, Rahimyar Khan, and Bahawalpur itself, not just the neighborhood around the hospital. The excellent medical staff is one of the best things about Bahawal Victoria Hospital. It does, however, make it possible for people to get help for any medical issue they face. A patient has the option of consulting either a male or female doctor.
